Psychotherapy uses psychological methods, particularly when based on regular personal interaction, to help a person change and overcome issues in desired ways. Psychotherapy aims to improve an individual's well-being and mental health, dealing and coping with challenging behaviours, beliefs, compulsions, thoughts, or emotions, and improve relationships and social skills.
Hypnotherapy is an alternative method used to create subconscious changes in a patient in new responses, thoughts, attitudes, behaviours or feelings. It is undertaken with a subject in a trance state. A person who is in a trance state is more susceptible to behavioural suggestions compared with a non-trance subject. This process is compared to a deeper level of mindfulness experience.
Coaching is a form of development in which a person called a coach supports a learner or client in achieving a specific professional goal by providing training, advice and guidance. The learner is usually called a coachee. In this process, the coachee explores the possible career aspects from a new perspective guided by the coach. The main focus in the coaching process is to overcome professional barriers and to promote growth and confidence.
